About

About us.

House Red Stream is an Ingwine affiliated kinship located in Southeast Wisconsin. Currently run by Ealdor Theodric, our kinship holds formal and informal events from ceremonial blots to nature walks to cookouts.

Our name comes from the meaning of the word “Wisconsin.” It 2003, linguist Michael McCafferty published an article in which he explained that the name “Wisconsin” is derived from the Native American word “meeskohsinki” that means “river running through a red place.” The “red” likely refers to the red sandstone found along the Wisconsin River.
